About

Run For Isaac and Friends, or R4IAF, is a nonprofit organization that we run in Muskegon, Michigan. Our mission is to bring support, encouragement, and hope to those caring for kids with special needs. We will be using this blog to discuss anything from parenting, daily life struggles, being special needs parents, sharing personal stories and struggles. Our goal is to be as honest and transparent as we can on this blog. There are times when smiling and saying everything is fine is the hardest thing to do. This is OUR space to be real. These are OUR opinions and OUR feelings. Some times it will be fun and light-hearted, others it will be raw and from a place of total breakdown. This is our life. You are welcome to take a peak into our lives through this blog. Thanks for your support!

  2. Our business is starting to intersect with groups supporting parents of special needs children. We are discovering high levels of PTSD, and we teach people how to release stress and trauma, and heal the PTSD. Thanks for starting this!

    • Yeah. My PTSD is as a result of a robbery at work…. But, I know the stress and anxiety of having special needs kids has not helped matters….
